Logbook for Pilots

logitPPL is a pilot logbook for Android for logging pilot flying time. The EASA version is for European pilots and is Jar 1.080 compliant. These aviation apps will log, chart, backup, filter and summarise your flight time data. The apps will also get metar & taf information and give date warnings. The EASA version provides extra functionality. See screen shot pages.

EASA Lite updated - Pilot Logbook with Excel spreadsheet option

EASA Lite has been updated to create an Excel log book. The map view has been updated to use different modes: normal, satellite and hybrid. The pro version will also have terrain mode. The pro version will be released in a few weeks time.

EASA version updated - synchronise pilot log book with Google Drive

I've updated the app to synchronise the log book with Google Drive. This will allow the user to backup and update different android devices from Google Drive.

EASA version updated

I've updated the EASA version. It can now handle "date last flown" currency types as well as fixed date currency. I've also made more use of the action bar and action items.

JAR EASA version of logitPPL launched.

A European version (Jar 1.080 compliant) of logitPPL has been launched. New features include:

  • ICAO lookup. 
  • Satellite view. 
  • UTC time display
  • Excel reporting using backup file on your pc.  Get the free reporting tool in the download page.

Views optimised for tablets.

The app is only €0.99 for the Pro version. But there is a Lite version to try before you buy.

logitPPL Lite - flight tracker - display flight track using Google Earth

I have added flight tracking to the app. The app records gps coordinates and saves them to a file. The file (which is a kml file) is used off the android device on a PC. Google Earth recognises the kml file and displays the flight track. See example page.
